Young Dancer Program Descriptions
Our "Young Dancer" programs are taught by instructors experienced with teaching younger children (the ages and levels described below are general guidelines and may vary on a child-by-child basis according to demonstrated ability):
Me and My Toddler (age 18 months- 2 1/2)
A 45-minute class for toddlers and their caretaker that includes music, games, sports, parachute fun and coordination activities.
Preschool I (age 2 1/2 - 3)
A 45-minute class designed to introduce little ones to music, dance and creative movement using games and props.
Preschool II (age 3 - 4)
Warm-up stretches, introductory ballet, tap, and creative movement is introduced. Students will learn to memorize and perform educational songs and dances. This class also enhances the child’s development in motor skills.
Combo I (age 4 - 5)
Warm-up stretches, ballet, tap, and creative movement are taught. This class is suggested for the newcomer or student with one year of preschool dance.
Combo II (age 5 - 6)
This class offers Jazz and Tumbling. Barre work, warm-up stretches, center, and routines are taught.
Fun Fridays (age 3 1/2 - 5)
Ninety minutes of fun activities including an arts and craft project, games, sports and special activities.
Beginner Classes in Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop (age 5 - 7)
These are three separate classes, each one dedicated to tap, jazz and hip-hop. Warm-up stretches and routines are part of each of these classes.
