DANJ's "Merry Happy" was recently honored with the opportunity to perform in a dance concert to benefit DRA at the prestigious Joyce Theatre in New York City. The concert, titled "DANCIN' DOWNTOWN at the Joyce Theatre 2011", brought together dancers from across to county to help raise funds for Dancers Responding to AIDS.
DANJ's "Heavy Heart" shown here performing at Beyond the Stars 2011 Nationals (where it won the "Stellar Award" (for Highest Scoring Group in the entire Competition), was recently selected to perform at Symphony Space in NYC at the second annual "Another Impressions" dance concert for the benefit of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. DANJ was a primary sponsor of the event and is proud to have had the opportunity to present one of its dance pieces for its peers in the dance industry.
DANJ's Competition Team (our "Academy Dancers") performed "Suzy" as the Opening Number at our 2010 Annual Recital Showcase. This piece was put together exclusively for the recital as a fun way to kick-off the show. To learn more about our competition team, click => Academy Dancers.
