Sandy is the Studio and Artistic Co-Director of the Dance Academy of North Jersey. As founder, Sandy opened the studio sixteen years ago -- as choreographer and teacher – a role she continues in today. In addition to her commitment to the studio, Sandy directs community-based theatre dance programs and supports many dance conventions and competitions around the country. Many of Sandy’s students have gone on to professional careers in dance, including on Broadway and regional theater, television, dance companies, as teachers and choreographers and in other commercial work involving dance and performing arts.

Alisa Rubbone
Prior to joining the faculty of DANJ in 2010, Alisa was a long time faculty member of the nationally recognized MnR Dance Factory in Los Angeles (and founder of its preschool program). Dancing since she was in diapers, Alisa moved to LA to attend UCLA as a dance major and join their renown dance team. Since graduation, Alisa has been immersed in the entertainment business doing everything from assisting well-known choreographers, working at an entertainment public relations firm and as a youth talent manager representing children in the entertainment business. Alisa is very excited to be a part of the staff at the Dance Academy of North Jersey and is looking forward to another great year with all of the kids!
