Kelly Carroll

Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Kelly Carroll has been dancing since the age of three and has since then developed a strong passion for the art. She has trained in various different dance styles but specializes in contemporary jazz. She is fortunate to have received most of her training from Billy Larson. Dancing competitively since the age of five, Kelly has been awarded numerous honors and scholarships both at the regional and national level. She was an American Dance Awards “Dancer of the Year” three consecutive years and a JUMP VIP Finalist for two years. In 2009, Kelly performed at Hall of Fame Nationals and was one of the 4 people selected to participate in the “Solo Showdown”. Kelly’s most prestigious award was being selected a PULSE Protégé in 2009 and again in 2010. As a Protégé, Kelly gets to travel with and assist the acclaimed choreographers at the PULSE Dance Convention. Kelly has participated in numerous charity events such as Dancers Responding to AIDS and Kids for Kids. Her stage credits include being selected to perform for Dancers Responding to AIDS at the Joyce Theater in NYC in a piece choreographed by Emily Shock. In the summer of 2009 Kelly performed in pieces choreographed by Brian Friedman, Laurie Ann Gibson and Tucker Barkley. Kelly has also performed in six showcases at Montclair State University and was the only freshman ever to be cast in the Fall Concert. She participated in a Flash Mob dance event at the Jersey Gardens Mall choreographed by Jay T Jenkins. Kelly graduated from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey in 2008 and is currently earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance at Montclair State University. At Montclair, she trains with professors such as Karen Gayle and Nancy Lushington.
