Katie Hopkins

Katie Hopkins is from Arlington Heights, IL and has been dancing most of her life. While being involved in several activities and sports, dance has remained a constant presence in her life. Katie is currently pursuing a BA in Dance, with a concentration in teaching, as well as a Minor in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management. She attended the University of Iowa for two years, before transferring to Columbia College Chicago where she expects to graduate in May 2011. Katie has performed in works choreographed by Shirley Mordine, Susan Rose, Colleen Halloran, Emily Stein, and Kim Goldman, as well as numerous student choreographed works.

Katie is also involved in the color guard community, having been a member of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from Allentown, PA for four years, where she served as captain for two years. She taught the Marian Catholic High School color guard, who most recently received first place in the Scholastic Open class at the 2009 Winter Guard International Championship. Katie is currently teaching the 2010 Cadets color guard.
