Blake Krapels

Blake Krapels has been dancing since the age of three and has trained diligently in all styles of dance. Because of his dedication and passion to the art of dance, he plans to pursue a dance career in college and beyond. Blake has been dancing competitively since the age of four and has earned numerous awards and scholarships both at the regional and national level. Some of his accolades include 2010 Hall of Fame National Senior Solo Champion, National Junior Dancer of the Year at American Dance Awards, and Dance Masters of America Title holder. Blake’s stage credits include the Irene Fokine Ballet Company’s performance of the Nutcracker and the Dance Gallery Festival at the Alvin Ailey Theater in a piece choreographed by Jason Luks. Blake also performed in a piece choreographed by Billy Larson at the Joyce Theater in NYC in Dancers Responding to Aids and at the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia. Blake was recently selected to perform at the 2010 Dance Teacher’s Summit. Additionally, he has been fortunate to work with many renowned choreographers such as Dee Caspary, Ray Leeper, Teddy Forance and Emily Shock. Blake has spent the past year traveling across the country to train and assist Billy Larson in Master classes and choreography. He recently had the opportunity to assist and teach at the Joffrey Ballet Jazz & Contemporary summer Intensive in NYC. Blake has choreographed his own solo as well as done solo choreography for other dancers. Over the past year, he has been teaching in several prominent dance studios. Because of Blake’s dedication to his dance training combined with his passion to performing, he continues to provide a positive and inspiring example to his peers and young dancers.
