Summer Programs
We are very excited to announce that Alana Isiguen is returning to DANJ to lead our very popular three-day intensive in June and that Kathleen Dunn will be leading our five-day intensive in August. The workshops are open to our studio dancers and guests. Junior and Teen/Senior sessions will be held each day.
This four-day workshop includes classes tailored to dancers of varying skill levels, features a Solo Showcase where dancers may perform a solo in front of leading tap dance professionals for on-the-spot feedback and coaching in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Little Spinners dance camps are for children ages 2 1/2 to 8 years old. The camp is divided into three levels, each designed for the applicable age group. Children are welcome to attend one or more sessions. Each session culminates in a review for parents and friends at the studio. Our faculty is looking forward to another great summer with new and returning "little spinners."
Three Summer Stars sessions: July 11-15 in Lake Hopatcong, August 1 - 7 in Totowa and August 8-12 in Lake Hopatcong. Summer Tech Classes are open to DANJ dancers and guests wishing to maintain their technique and develop new skills. Our ten & five-class cards and walk-in, single class options are popular with our alumni home for the summer and dancers from other studios looking to experience different teachers and styles. The Dance Academy of North Jersey is sponsoring this exciting program in collaboration with Jefferson Township's Recreation Department and Performing Hearts. DANJ is hosting all of the classes and providing the instructors and assistants. The classes include creative rhythm movement to Broadway music and pop-chart favorites. Styles include elements of ballet, jazz and percussive dance and the use of props. Read the online AIM story.
